As a WERS-accredited member, Tint FX understands the physics behind thermal stress and takes caution on every job to avoid thermal stress risks. There are window film products suitable for double-glazed units. A thorough assessment would be made before any installation to select a low-risk film.
Unfortunately, not. As the window film relies on light levels and reflections to offer privacy, you will find it will be in reverse at nighttime. There is not a window film that offers privacy at nighttime without the need for curtains or blinds. Frosted window films are an alternative to offer consistent daytime and nighttime privacy. Tint FX can evaluate the privacy levels required and offer a recommendation of film suitable for the space.
Yes, it can be removed however we highly recommend engaging a professional with the current tools to prevent any potential damage of glass.
Most commonly Tint FX will apply solar window films internally. However, there are specific window films designed to be applied externally. These window films are also a terrific option when internal access is not an option. Your Tint FX representative will go over the application options at quote stage to discuss limitations of the work
Don’t panic! We understand this causes a lot of customers worry and concern but believe in the process. Water is sprayed onto glass before the solar window film is applied. It enables accurate positioning and helps remove air pockets. A thin layer of this water remains once the film is installed. Days after, you can expect to see bubbles and if so please don’t touch them! They can be any size and quantity, depending on the glass, film and environmental conditions. The water between the window and the film will evaporate and the bubbles diminish over time.
