IR refers to Infrared Energy. Sunlight is made up of approx. 53% IR energy 44% visible light and 3% UV. So if a window film is claiming to block 95% IR, it needs to be noted that only 95% of the 53% IR Energy is being rejected. IR values only contribute to a portion of the total heat being rejected. We recommend not to wind down windows for at least 48 hours after installation. It is also important not to clean the glass during the drying period, normally 21 days.
Window films are mostly applied to the inside of the glass. However there are some specifically designed window films that can be applied externally. A professional installer will recommend the best film for the job.

Due to the curing period after installation, we recommend to refrain from cleaning tinted windows for 30 days after installation. After this time, you can clean your windows using non-abrasive paper towels or cotton cleaning cloths. To avoid scratching the film, do not use scouring pads or abrasive cloths.
A slightly hazy or milky appearance may be noticed after install. Don’t panic! This is completely normal and part of the drying or curing process and will disappear in time. It may take longer to disappear in the colder months and we suggest to put your vehicle in the sun to speed up the process.
Depends on the vehicle and how many windows there are but generally we suggest to allow three hours from start to finish for installation.

Absolutely! Please enquire at the time of booking to allow for additional time and drive out of our workshop totally protected.
We only recommend applying the paint protection film to paint that has been professionally painted and cured. If the film was to be applied to touch up paint it may possibly be removed with the film.
No. The paint protection film is made of a tough and durable thermoplastic urethane which contains UV protectants.
The film can be removed anytime by peeling back a corner and carefully pulling the film off at a 90 degree angle. A heat gun or hair dryer may assist in the removal process to soften the adhesive.
